Overview
Transforming Cancer Nursing Care Through Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice, and Research features poster and podium presentations showcasing nursing-led QI, EBP, and research initiatives from MD Anderson and the UT Cizik School of Nursing, highlighting innovative practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and measurable outcomes that advance patient-centered oncology care, professional nursing practice, and healthcare excellence.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify key nursing research studies, quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and systematic reviews conducted at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center and UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing.
  2. Describe the focus areas, methodologies, and outcomes of nursing studies to enhance understanding of current evidence in cancer care.
  3. Discuss how findings from institutional research and quality initiatives can be applied to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  4. Develop engagement in nursing research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

To receive Nursing Contact Hours for this activity, the participant must: 

  • Create an account in the Professional Education Portal (PEP) and save your Mobile Number to your PEP account if not already done.

  • Register for this activity.

  • During activity, TEXT your attendance to 1-844-912-1333 and up to 24hrs after the course has ended using the Activity ID provided by the Facilitator during program.

  • Complete a participant evaluation in PEP, under the MyCE tab, within 30 consecutive days of the learning activity where you will also have immediate access to your Certificate.
