Overview
The overall goal is to support MD Anderson Cancer Center in achieving their goals of system-wide improvement in serious illness conversations & care as part of the ADCC Goal-Concordant Care Initiative. The project will use a blended learning approach that matches external expertise in communication skills teaching and health system transformation with internal expertise and customization to meet the unique needs of MD Anderson's patients, clinicians, leaders, and community.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify and maintain measurable improvements in serious illness communication.
  2. Adapt and scale high quality clinician communication skills training.
  3. Utilize evidence-based tools within practice and maintain higher levels of confidence and self-efficacy in serious illness conversations.

times from 9:00 AM – 11:30 PM or 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM.

The learning plan is entitled “Serious Illness Conversation Guide Training FOR PHYSICIANS AND APPS.”  Upon completion of the pre-training survey and three videos, the participant is eligible to enroll in “Serious Illness Conversation Guide Training: Virtual Session”. 

Upon completion of session, individuals are eligible for RME, CME Credit, and Ethics Credits.  Please view information on these credits listed below.
