Overview

Join us for a specialized course tailored to General Surgeons, Surgical Oncologists, and Surgical Trainees eager to expand their practice to include oncologic robotic gastrectomy, encompassing D2 lymph node dissection and reconstruction techniques. The day will commence with on-site case observation (performed using state-of-the-art, Intuitive Surgical DaVinci 5 platform broadcasted to the auditorium), followed by didactic lectures covering evidence-based D2 lymph node dissection and step-by-step robotic gastrectomy techniques, presented by esteemed international faculty members.

Following the lectures, participants will engage in surgical cadaver labs utilizing the Intuitive Surgical DaVinci Robotic Surgical Platform (Xi system). To ensure ample hands-on experience, we are limiting the number of participants to three per cadaver/robotic surgical system, guaranteeing significant console time for each surgeon.

Notably, this program stands as the sole robotic gastrectomy program in the United States and employs peer-based coaching to foster learning and enhance collaboration among international surgeons. We invite you to join us in this stimulating initiative aimed at advancing gastric cancer care on a global scale.

Registration

On behalf of the Division of Surgical Oncology and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, we invite you to participate in a surgical skills program for the Robotic Gastrectomy Course  Friday, September 12, 2025 - Saturday, September, 13, 2025.
