Overview
This breast imaging seminar delivers the latest updates in mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided interventions for practicing radiologists and technologists. Topics include national breast imaging guidelines, practical tips for imaging and interventions, advanced techniques, and cutting-edge breast cancer treatments.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Evaluate factors that increase the risk of complications following ultrasound-guided biopsy, including preprocedural planning and device selection.
  2. Perform ultrasound of the breast and regional nodal basins with improved competency.
  3. Demonstrate a basic understanding of contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) and breast biopsy techniques.
  4. Interpret margin status in patients with prior breast-conserving surgery and discuss the implications of calcifications in the treated breast.
  5. Differentiate indications and prerequisites for screening versus diagnostic breast MRI.
  6. Apply the BI-RADS lexicon to describe MRI findings and assign appropriate BI-RADS assessment categories.
  7. Identify normal imaging appearances of breast implants and recognize complications such as rupture and BIA-ALCL.

8th Annual Breast Imaging Seminar – Sep. 6, 2025. The seminar will begin at 7:00 AM, Sat., Sep. 6, and will adjourn at Noon. Location: Dan L. Duncan Building, 1155 Pressler Street, Floor 8, Houston, TX 77030, Conference Center, Rooms 1-8

Registration fee includes tuition for the in-person Live Activity. Advanced registration is encouraged - The deadline for advanced registration is July 31, 2025.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of activity cancellation, the liability of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee.  Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee.

EVALUATION:
A course evaluation tool will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.  The survey link will be provided during the review course.
