Overview
This presentation will address the prescription of opioids, pain intensity, symptom assessment and non-medical use of opioids.

  1. Discuss appropriate assessment of cancer pain before prescription.
  2. Promote universal screening for risk of non-medical opioid use.
  3. Discuss safe dose and titration of opioids for cancer pain.
