Overview

  1. Articulate the multidisciplinary steps to addressing and mitigating healthcare disparities in cancer patients.
  2. Translate effective communication techniques to use during difficult conversations with patients and families.

Registration Information

The conference will be in a hybrid format.  The in-person conference registration will be held at the Duncan Building (CPB) located at 1155 Pressler Street, Houston, Texas 77030 on Floor 8 and will begin at 8:00 am on Thursday, November 17.  A separate area will be set up for speaker check-in.  The conference will be streamed live via Zoom.

In-person registration space is limited.  Maximum registration is 70 attendees.

Advanced registration is encouraged.

Cancellation Policy

The Department of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, e-mail, or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form.  In case of activity cancellation, the liability of the Department of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee.  Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee. 

The Department of Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
