This conference series is aimed at highlighting all aspects of Interventional Pulmonology. Specifically it seeks to promote collaborative evidence based medicine in the performance of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures. It will cover the pathogenesis, pathology, risk factors, natural history, differential diagnosis, diagnostic work-up, medical/surgical management, and prevention of complex airway diseases and pleural diseases. It will also seek to utilize the principles of evidenced-based medicine in evaluating new technologies, along with a rigorously systematic quality assurance and improvement program

1. Demonstrate expertise in the performance of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures.
2. Demonstrate expertise in pathogenesis, pathology, risk factors, natural history, differential diagnosis, diagnostic work-up, medical/surgical management, and prevention of complex airway diseases and pleural diseases.
3. Incorporate principles of evidenced-based medicine in evaluating new technologies, and utilize a rigorously systematic quality assurance and improvement program.
