Overview
A series has instructional didactic and case based, interactive discussion sessions, a component of the Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) program. The activity will include instructions on screening guidelines, diagnosis and management of women with abnormal screening results, and a discussion and presentation of evidence-based cervical cancer diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of indications for, and limitations and complications related to LEEP procedure and indications for other procedures related to cervical pathology findings.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of indications for colposcopy, cervical biopsy and endocervical curettage and identify and recognize cervical pathology through colposcopy.
  3. Implement best practice patient cervical cancer screening procedures and follow up for management of women with abnormal screening test results, per national guidelines.
  4. Provide patient/family education regarding HPV vaccination.
