Overview
This series will provide a forum for the LBJ healthcare team to discuss difficult cases for patient-centered improvement and enhance communication with fellows, trainees, residents and medical students from The University of Texas, Harris Health, and Baylor to improve patient outcomes across multiple disciplines, health care sites, and socioeconomic strata. 


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Incorporate the multidisciplinary management of thoracic cancer cases presented to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Illustrate the role of each member of the treatment team to improve patient care.
  3. Summarize the significance and rationale for each treatment decision, including the use of standard-of-care as well as research-driven patient care.
  4. Interpret the evidence for the treatment plans developed during the case conference.
