Overview
Healthcare providers are one of the few professionals likely to interact with trafficked individuals while they are still in captivity. This training covers essential human trafficking information and guides personnel to provide appropriate patient-centered responses within various practice settings.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe major categories of human trafficking
  2. The learner will self-report an improvement in their ability to assess and respond to common signs of human trafficking present in patients.
  3. Differentiate human trafficking from human smuggling and consensual commercial sex
  4. Explain the scope of the problem
  5. Recognize vulnerabilities, risk factors, and indicators of human trafficking
  6. Apply patient-centered interventions for healthcare providers
  7. Discuss human trafficking knowledge and strategies for individual practice settings

Ransomed Life: Human Trafficking Training for Healthcare Professionals

Requirements for Successful Activity Completion:

To successfully complete this activity and be awarded CE credits, NCPD contact hours, or Social Work credits the following requirements must be met:

  • Complete the Pre-Test
  • View the recording of the presentation in its entirety
  • Complete the Post-Test
  • Complete the Evaluation

In order to receive CE credits or NCPD contact hours you must pass the post-test with a score of 70% or higher.
