Overview
This series will also improve delivery of best practices in taking care of the cancer patient and survivors and provide expertise in diagnosis and treatment. Rapid advances in hematology and solid tumor oncology result in suboptimal assessment of prognostic markers, lack of current guidelines use, lack of individualized treatment by tumor site standards of care, late referrals to clinical trials and misdiagnoses. Receiving this information will equip learners with new knowledge and improve standards of care to include early screening.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Participate in evidence-based educational to enhance medical decision making when caring for and managing breast cancer patients
  2. Demonstrate proficiency of knowledge in breast medical oncology
  3. Provide patients with prevention guidance as well as accurate detection of possible breast cancer before metastasis and efficient referrals to specialists who provide up-to-date optimal treatment plans
  4. Implement and apply new modalities of treatment and update standards of care to include new developments and therapies

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify the latest evidence-based practices to incorporate into the care of breast cancer patients.
