Overview
This breast imaging seminar delivers the latest updates in mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided interventions for practicing radiologists and technologists. Topics include national breast imaging and treatment guidelines, practical tips for imaging and interventions, and advanced techniques.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Evaluate imaging features of breast cancer and achieve proper local staging.
  2. Assess the technical aspects of high quality breast MRI.
  3. Perform stereotactic biopsies with improved competency.
  4. Demonstrate a basic understanding of post cryoablation imaging features.
  5. Interpret margin status in patients with prior breast-conserving surgery and discuss the implications of calcifications in the treated breast.
  6. Comprehend the fundamentals of surgical management and current breast radiation therapy in breast cancer.
  7. Identify normal imaging appearances of breast implants.

Registration

9th Annual Breast Imaging Seminar – Sep. 12, 2026. The seminar will begin at 7:00 AM and will adjourn at Noon.

Location: Virtual via ZOOM

Registration fee includes tuition for the in-person Live Activity. Advanced registration is encouraged - The deadline for advanced registration is July 31, 2026.
Note: Registration will close at midnight, September 1, 2026.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
The registration fee, minus a $25 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before July 31, 2026.  No refunds will be granted after that date.  The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.  For additional information, contact Continuing Professional Education at 713-792-2223/toll free at 866-849-5866 or email at: mdanderson-cpe.mdanderson.org.

Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, e-mail, or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form.

In case of activity cancellation, the liability of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee. Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee.

Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.

EVALUATION:
A course evaluation tool will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.  The survey link will be provided during the review course.

In support of improving patient care, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation: 
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity has been approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for 5.0 Category A continuing education credits.
