Overview
This internet enduring material is intended to educate healthcare professionals how to provide tobacco/nicotine counseling to adults and adolescents. 

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify appropriate pharmacological options for tobacco/nicotine cessation.
  2. Counsel patients to enhance their motivation to quit smoking.
  3. Counsel patients to reduce susceptibility to begin using tobacco/nicotine and nicotine products.
  4. Identify conventional and new tobacco and nicotine products.
  5. Utilize web-based resources to refer patients for additional help.
