Overview
This interactive series is designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical insight of nurse navigators in the Breast department. Through the review of complex breast cancer cases, the sessions will highlight diagnostic and management challenges, offering multidisciplinary perspectives to support personalized care planning, care coordination, and navigation strategies. In addition to building foundational knowledge of disease states, treatment protocols, and side effect management, nurse navigators will learn to identify and communicate potential barriers to care with APPs. This collaborative approach will strengthen the team’s ability to raise relevant clinical questions, track patient progress, and respond more independently to care needs—ultimately streamlining workflows and improving patient outcomes.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze complext breast cancer cases by applying advanced diagnostic and treatment strategies to identify and address potential care challenges in a collaborative team setting.
  2. Develop tailored patient care plans using evidence-based guidelines and interdisciplinary input to enhance patient outcomes and streamline breast cancer treatment management.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of different patient navigation techniques through team discussions and case study reviews, incorporating feedback to refien and improve navigation practicies.
