Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Education Conference Series is designed to foster an engaging and interactive educational environment for radiological case review and discussion, specifically addressing knowledge gaps in oncologic radiology. By providing an interactive forum, it enhances medical decision-making and clinical practice among healthcare providers. Experts will explore current challenges, emerging technologies, and innovative approaches in oncologic imaging, equipping participants with updated knowledge to improve patient care. In addition to case-based discussions, the series includes stand-alone lectures that offer in-depth insights into specialized topics, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. These sessions benefit not only physicians and physicians-in-training but also allied health professionals involved in cancer care. Through expert-led discussions and practical applications, this series aims to advance diagnostic accuracy, optimize treatment planning, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes in oncologic radiology.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze and identify frequently encountered and/or challenging oncologic radiology cases to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
  2. Cultivate and facilitate an environment that promotes the transfer of critical information, best practices, and new techniques among healthcare professionals.
  3. Develop and implement a sustainable framework for ongoing collaboration and dialogue to continuously integrate emerging innovations and best practices in patient care.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
