Overview
The integration of robotic bronchoscopy and mobile cone-beam CT guidance is transforming lung cancer diagnosis and staging. This activity will address how these technologies enable clinicians to safely and efficiently access small peripheral lung nodules and obtain high-quality tissue samples suitable for molecular profiling, all within a single procedure that includes mediastinal staging. This 2-day course offers an immersive, hands-on experience designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and procedural safety during navigational bronchoscopy. Participants will receive practical training in advanced endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) techniques, including transbronchial cryobiopsy and core lymph node biopsies. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or expanding your expertise, this program equips you with the skills needed to apply the latest innovations in interventional pulmonology and elevate patient care.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Utilize appropriate lung cancer screening techniques according to national guidelines and standards.
  2. Assimilate therapeutic options for the management of airway tumors.
  3. Interpret available evidence for adjunctive therapies in the palliative and curative management of lung cancer.
  4. Apply principles of evidence-based medicine in evaluating new technologies.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to perform Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration on a porcine model.
  6. Perform endobronchial stenting on a porcine model.
  7. Incorporate evidence-based best practices for the management of recurrent malignant pleural effusions.
