Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor Education for Sarcoma Nurses

This activity will educate Sarcoma nurses on the history of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) current therapies and nursing management targeted to GIST. An overview of FDA approved treatment and management of their toxicities will also be reviewed.

1. Discuss current state of gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
2. Identify FDA approved drugs for gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
3. Discuss signs, symptoms, and management of gastrointestinal stromal tumor treatment related toxicities.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

To receive Nursing Contact Hours for this activity, the participant must: 

• Create an account in the Professional Education Portal (PEP) and save your Mobile Number to your PEP account if not already done.

• Register for this activity.

• During activity, TEXT your attendance to 1-844-912-1333 and up to 24hrs after the course has ended using the Activity ID provided by the Facilitator during program.

• Complete a participant evaluation in PEP, under the MyCE tab, within 30 consecutive days of the learning activity where you will also have immediate access to your Certificate.
