Overview
Ophthalmology Grand Rounds is a series designed to address the need to recognize ocular conditions that require early diagnosis and management to prevent serious complications. Throughout the series we will examine common and complex cases that reflect typical and atypical presentations and pathology will be reviewed. By doing so, we aim to provide comprehensive insights that enhance a better understanding and improve patient care in this critical area of ophthalmology.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify the clinical manifestations and diagnostic features of ocular malignancies commonly encountered in oncology patients, including eyelid and orbital tumors, intraocular cancers, and metastatic lesions.
  2. Develop proficiency in formulating comprehensive management plans for ocular diseases in oncology patients, integrating multidisciplinary approaches such as surgical interventions, radiation therapy, systemic treatments, and supportive care measures to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.
  3. Enhance diagnostic acumen and decision-making skills in recognizing ocular complications associated with cancer treatment modalities, including chemotherapy-induced retinopathies, radiation-related retinopathies, and ocular surface disorders, through case-based discussions and interpretation of ophthalmic imaging studies.

Registration
This is a closed, invitation only series.
