Overview
This breast imaging seminar will present the most up to date information on mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast interventions for the practicing radiologists and technologists, including national guidelines in breast imaging, practical imaging and intervention tips, advanced imaging methods, and leading edge breast cancer treatment.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Attain proficiency in the ACR Accreditation requirements for mammography and achieve optimal breast positioning to meet accreditation criteria.
  2. Analyze the critical steps and unique challenges in patient and sequence setup for breast MRI.
  3. Acquire essential breast ultrasound training protocols for successful breast cancer diagnosis and staging.
  4. Detail regional lymph node morphology and AJCC staging classification, and evaluate recent clinical trial data in minimally invasive axillary management.
  5. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of various wire and nonwire localization devices.
  6. Correlate MRI, CT, and mammography findings with breast ultrasound and in breast cancer staging.
  7. Assess the impact of breast imaging on breast surgical management.
  8. Demonstrate proper breast positioning and troubleshoot common errors in breast MRI.
  9. Explain the role of Contrast Enhanced Mammography in breast cancer staging.
  10. Outline physiologic changes in breast tissue of pregnant or lactating patients and summarize current breast imaging guidelines for these populations.
  11. Familiarize oneself with breast cancer cryoablation and recognize the pivotal role of breast MRI in this procedure.
  12. Understand the role of breast MRI in breast cancer screening, staging and treatment and in breast cryoablation planning and imaging.

7th Annual Breast Imaging Seminar - September 7, 2024. The seminar will begin at 7:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, and will adjourn at 12:00 Noon. Location: Dan L. Duncal Building, 1155 Pressler Street, Floor 8, Houston, TX 77030, Conference Center, Rooms 1-8

Registration fee includes tuition for the in-person Live Activity. Advanced registration is encouraged - The deadline for advanced registration is July 31, 2024.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

EVALUATION:
A course evaluation tool will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.  The survey link will be provided during the review course.
