This activity is designed to enhance the nurse's knowledge of oncology related diseases, treatment, and symptom management, including patient education for successful completion of the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification exam.

1. Recognize the management of cancer and treatment-related toxicities, including nursing interventions and patient education.
2. Identify resources needed to successfully complete the OCN certification exam.

The Oncology Certification Nurse (OCN) Review will begin at 8:00 am on Thursday, March 7, 2024, and will adjourn at 4:30 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Telephone registrations are not accepted.

Registration Fees:

• MDACC Employees and Cancer Network Partners - Exempt 
• Non-MD Anderson Nurses - Exempt

• Scientific Basis for Practice (helpful as pre-course content).
• Neurologic System Cancers /Anticonvulsives,
• Bone and Soft Tissue Cancers
• Survivorship and Palliative Care/End of Life 
• Professional Practice/Legal/Ethics

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

To receive Nursing Contact Hour (s) (7.50 hours) for this activity, the participant must:
