Overview
Sponsored by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Division of Radiation Oncology and the Diagnostic Imaging Division, this series of modules will provide a brief introduction to the factors related to implementing an MR in Radiation Therapy program. Topics include an overview of modalities, trends in the industry and innovative treatments, institutional and operational planning and critical safety procedures. This series is especially appropriate for clinical and executive leadership. This training was supported by Siemens Healthineers though a strategic partnership.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Articulate the value proposition and factors contributing to the integration of MR guidance in delivering radiation treatment, including MR simulation.
  2. Discuss the institutional and operational planning requirements for implementing an MR in Radiation Therapy program.
