Overview
The MD Anderson Cancer Network Nursing Education Series is designed for oncology nurses within the Partner and Certified Member program and provides evidence-based oncology content. This learning activity will highlight an outpatient pilot project that developed a standardized process for safe handling of oral investigational medications, including interprofessional collaboration, staff education, policy modification, and workspace modifications.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this learning activity the RN will:

  1. Articulate increased knowledge of safe practices for reconciling and handling oral investigational drugs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

To receive 1.00 contact hours for this activity, the participant must: 

  • Create an account in the Professional Education Portal (PEP) and save your Mobile Number to your PEP account if not already done.
  • Register for this activity.
  • During activity, TEXT your attendance to 1-844-912-1333 and up to 2hrs after the course has ended using the Activity ID provided by the Facilitator during program.
  • Complete a participant evaluation in PEP, under the MyCE tab, within 7 consecutive days of the learning activity where you will also have immediate access to your Certificate.
