Overview

An annual "Innovations in Health Science Education" conference is sponsored by the six health science campuses within The University of Texas System. Each meeting includes nationally-recognized invited speakers together with local participants. Although organized and sponsored by The University of Texas System, all those interested in health science education are invited to attend.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Promote teaching and learning excellence in health science education by providing conference plenary and concurrent sessions that highlight best practices and contemporary educational challenges and solutions;
  2. Support networking of diverse and multidisciplinary health science educators through interaction across the conference activities; and
  3. Recognize health science education innovations and excellence in health science education through distinction of awarding competitive project grants and awards.

The 2022 Innovations in Health Science Education Annual Conference (Virtual) opens at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, and the conference will adjourn at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022.  You will receive instructions for the Virtual program via email 3-5 days prior to the conference.  The only requirement for the online training is that you must have a laptop/desktop computer, webcam and access to stable internet connection.

Telephone registrations are not accepted.

The Department of Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, email or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form. In case of activity cancellation, the liability of the Department of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee.  Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee. 

The Department of Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
