Overview
This activity will address advanced supportive/palliative care topics. Professionals can expect an improvement of knowledge which includes the latest state of the art advances in the field of palliative/ supportive care to support best and effective practices of supportive/palliative care medicine.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Provide effective communication with patients in the advanced stages of cancer or debilitating disease and provide quality end-of-life care.
  2. Identify and interpret the moral and ethical dilemmas encountered in palliative care, incorporating supportive care strategies to improve patient care.
  3. Practice state of the art pain and symptom management for patients with advanced disease.
  4. Apply palliative care principals to life threatening disease in populations not limited to cancer patients

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Learners will gain knowledge and articulate two best practices that includes the latest state of the art advances in palliative and supportive care.

A Virtual Live Streaming Course

 The symposium will begin at 8:00 am on Friday, September 24, 2021, and will adjourn at 5:45 pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

The Conference/Symposium registration fee includes tuition for the Live Internet Activity, and online materials.  Registration for the Updates in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Intensive Physician Board Review Course is NOT included.

The Deadline for Advance Registration for Physician Board Review Course and the 24th Supportive & Palliative Care Clinical and Research Symposium is August 23, 2021.

Telephone registrations are not accepted.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

The registration fee, minus a $50 administration-handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before Monday, August 23, 2021 for both activities.  No refunds will be granted after these dates. The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.
