Overview
This activity offers a deep dive into the latest classification systems in tumor pathology, challenging diagnostic issues, and new molecular tests shaping diagnosis and prognosis. Designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy in surgical pathology, this activity helps professionals refine their skills, avoid common pitfalls, and improve patient care. Through expert-led discussions and real-world case studies, professionals will gain practical tools and strategies they can apply in their daily practice to make more confident and precise diagnoses.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify key updates and emerging trends in diagnostic and surgical pathology that impact everyday clinical practice.
  2. Apply the latest diagnostic criteria and biomarker advancements to improve accuracy in identifying neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions.
  3. Utilize molecular and immunohistochemically testing effectively to enhance diagnosis and patient care.

Registration

The Nuts and Bolts in Surgical Pathology conference will be held on December 5-6, 2025, at The Health Museum, John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Sciences, located at 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004.

Day 1: Begins on Friday, December 5, 2025, with Welcome and Remarks at 8:00 AM, followed by a Welcome Reception at the end of Day 1, inclusive of all speakers, learners, and industry sponsors.

Day 2: Reconvenes on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 8:00 AM and will adjourn at 5:15 PM with Farewell and Adjournment.

This two-day activity will explore the latest advancements in tumor pathology, including classification systems, diagnostic challenges, and molecular tests. It aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy in surgical pathology through expert-led discussions and real-world case studies, providing professionals with practical tools to improve patient care. Additionally, this is a great opportunity to gain Maintenance of Certification points for ABPath MOC Part II.

Refund/Cancellation Policy The registration fee, minus a $100.00 administration-handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before Wednesday, November 5, 2025.  No refunds will be granted after these dates. The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.

The Department of Continuing Professional Education (CPE), reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, e-mail, or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form.  In case of activity cancellation, the liability of CPE, is limited to the registration fee.  CPE, will refund the full registration fee. CPE reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
