Overview
Skin Champion Education: Nursing Implications for the Assessment and Management of Skin Injuries among cancer patients. The course is designed to enhancing the knowledge of Registered Nurses and patient care Partners on skin injury prevention in specific units and centers.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  1. Describe the skin and wound assessment using the Braden scale. Including risk factors of skin and wound injuries
  2. Identify types of skin injuries and nursing interventions for the management of skin injuries.
  3. Discuss pressure injury assessment, including types of pressure injury and stages
  4. Identify the best practice guidelines for the management of pressure injuries
  5. Discuss the legal, ethical, and financial implications of pressure injury.
