Overview
At the conclusion of this learning activity, the RN will articulate increased knowledge related to management of hematological cancers and patient care nursing considerations. This course provides the nurse with the working knowledge of the disease process, clinical presentation, diagnostic work-up, treatment and nursing management of the patient with a hematologic malignancy including: acute and chronic leukemia, MDS, Hodgkins or non-Hodgkins lymphoma and multiple myeloma. The management of common oncologic emergencies and the cellular therapy associated conditions with this patient population distinguished. Contact hours awarded for full day attendance.

At the conclusion of this learning activity the RN will:

  1. At the conclusion of this learning activity, the RN will articulate increased knowledge related to management of hematological cancers and patient care nursing considerations.
