Overview
This program is designed to propel forward the field of oncology nursing practice by providing oncology education on topics across the continuum of care, including advanced practice topics, sharing best practices, fostering networking opportunities, and providing valuable insights from knowledgeable clinical subject matter experts. With a focus on new drugs, treatments, and processes, as well as translational research in clinical practice, the conference is tailored to meet the diverse needs of nurses across various oncology practice settings. Rooted in recent trends and the cutting edge of oncology practice, it serves as a dynamic platform for learning, collaboration, and professional growth in the field.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe updates in treatment and pharmacological advances in the oncology setting.
  2. Explain focused oncology management across the continuum of care for hematologic and solid tumors.
  3. Define the management of symptoms and comorbidities in the oncology population.

 A Virtual Course 

The  Oncology Nursing Conference: Enhancing Knowledge, Elevating Care conference will now be held virtually instead of in-person. As a result, all previously registered in-person attendees will be refunded, and we will re-register you for the virtual version of the course automatically. The virtual course will begin at 7:50 am on Friday, February 7, 2025. 

Refund Details: You will receive a full refund for your original in-person registration. The refund will be processed to the payment method used during registration, and should be reflected within [timeframe, e.g., 7-10 business days].
Re-registration: You will be automatically enrolled in the virtual course with no action needed on your part. A confirmation email will be sent to you with the new details for the virtual event, including login information and instructions.

A Virtual Course 

The virtual conference will begin at 7:50 am on Friday, February 7, 2025, and will adjourn at 4:30 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Once your payment has been made, a receipt can be found in the MyCE area of your PEP@MD Anderson account. The Zoom information and all other necessary links will be emailed out the week of the conference. The virtual conference will be streamed live via Zoom.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
The registration fee, minus a $50 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  No refunds will be granted after that date.  The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.  For additional information, contact Continuing Professional Education at 713-792-2223 or toll free at 866-849-5866.

Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, e-mail, or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form.

In case of activity cancellation, the liability of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee.  Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee.

Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.

Evaluation
A course evaluation tool will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.  The survey link will be provided during the course.
