This particular track takes place on Thursday of the training week. The lectures covered are Pharmacotherapy, Treatment Planning, and Relapse Prevention. Please note we welcome registrants to join us on Wednesday afternoon for additional background on pharmacotherapy, but credit hours will only be provided for Thursday. For those who complete the 1 day training, they will get a certificate of attendance/completion, but they are not eligible for the national exam to obtain certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) in tobacco treatment. 1. Describe available pharmacotherapy options for treating tobacco use disorder and their therapeutic use.

Virtual Conference opens at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at and will adjourn at 5:00 pm.   You will receive instructions for the Virtual program via email 3-5 days prior to the conference.  The only requirement for the online training is that you must have a laptop/desktop computer, webcam and access to stable internet connection.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: The registration fee, minus a $35.00 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before Friday, August 30, 2024.  No refunds will be granted after that date.  The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.  For additional information, contact Continuing Professional Education at 713-792-2223 or toll free at 866-849-5866 or email [email protected].

The Department of Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, email or at the phone or fax numbers given on the registration form. In case of activity cancellation, the liability of the Department of Continuing Professional Education is limited to the registration fee.  Continuing Professional Education will refund the full registration fee. The Department of Continuing Professional Education reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
