Cancer Care Course: Oncologic Emergencies Across the Age Span

Oncologic Emergencies are potentially life threatening complications caused by cancer. This course includes both metabolic and structural oncologic emergencies as defined by the Oncology Nursing Society and the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses. Advanced Practice Providers and Content Experts will present the most common oncologic emergencies utilizing patient scenarios and case studies.

1. The registered nurse will self report an increase in knowledge regarding patients experiencing oncologic emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

To receive 7.00 contact hours for this activity, the participant must: 

• Create an account in the Professional Education Portal (PEP) and save your Mobile Number to your PEP account if not already done. 
• Register for this activity.
• During activity, TEXT your attendance to 1-844-912-1333 and up to 24hrs after the course has ended using the Activity ID provided by the Facilitator during program.
• Complete a participant evaluation in PEP, under the MyCE tab, within 30 consecutive days of the learning activity where you will also have immediate access to your Certificate.
