David B. Brecher, MD, FAAFP, FAAHPM is a Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician for the Department of Veterans Affairs American Lake Campus, Tacoma, Washington.

He is a board certified in Family Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Brecher is a Fellow of both academies.

Dr. Brecher has contributed articles to peer review publications including the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the Journal of Palliative Medicine, as well as serving as a medical article reviewer for the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  His clinical interests include non-pharmacological pain management and discussing Advance Care Planning.  He is an active member of both the Washington State Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
