Dr. Matthew D. Clark is a native of McAlester, Oklahoma. Dr. Clark obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Union University College of Pharmacy in Jackson, Tennessee. Following graduation, Dr. Clark subsequently completed a PGY-1 residency at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, while simultaneously completing his teaching and learning training from The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. After the completion of his PGY-1 residency, he then completed a PGY-2 Pain and Palliative Care residency at Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. He is now a clinical pharmacy specialist in palliative care and opioid stewardship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Clark has numerous article publications in several medical and pharmaceutical journals. He has presented on the national level as well has provided many didactic lectures at several schools of pharmacy. He served as the interim chair of the Membership Committee of the Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacist. On his spare time, Dr. Clark enjoys golf, watching college football, playing with his dog, and spending time with his wife, Alli.
