Amanda Polk is a Quality Management Analyst at MD Anderson Physicians Network. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2005, and worked as a Neuro ICU nurse at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, TX for 2 years. Here she cared for critically ill patients suffering of stroke, seizures, brain tumor, and other neurological disease. She then became an ambulatory nurse in the Brain and Spine Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2007, caring for patients with low and high grade cancer of the brain and spine. During this time, Amanda got her BSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. In 2014, she began working with the Certified Member program at MD Anderson Physicians Network. Amanda received her Masters degree in Nursing- Health Systems Management in 2018, and currently serves as the Nurse Planner for the Certified Member nursing education program and as the Team Lead for the Physicians Network Qualtrics survey team
