Jessy Kurian began her nursing career in India, followed by Saudi Arabia, and now practices nursing in the USA.

She received her masters and doctorate degrees from Prairie View College of Nursing as an FNP-APRN in 2011 and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2017.  Dr. Kurian holds a certification in Pain Management Nursing and has worked with the Acute Pain Management Service at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a nurse for five years and continues to work in the same department as an APRN since 2018.


She has provided several educational presentations on Acute Pain Management, the most recent one is the webinar in 7/2020 at MD Anderson for the APRNs on topic Multimodal -Acute Pain Management. She was a speaker at the Hands-on Acute Pain Workshop for Nurses in 2008 at MD Anderson on topic :’Nursing Care of Patients with an Epidural Infusion”. Her publications include an article on the topic “Aged, an Asset or Liability” in the Nursing Journal of India (The Trained Nurses Association of India); and an abstract and poster presentation on “Pain Nurse Champion: A Program for Effective Pain Management” in 2008 at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA).   

She is also the recipient of the Best Nurse award from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health.
