Karen Moody MD, MS.  Dr. Moody is the Director of Pediatric Supportive Oncology and Section Chief of Pediatric Palliative, Rehabilitative, and Integrative Medicine at M D Anderson Cancer Center.  Dr. Moody graduated from Columbia University with her BA in Biology/Psychology and from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center with her MD. She completed her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training at New York University Hospital & Medical Center, and simultaneously completed a Clinical Epidemiology & Health Services Research Fellowship and a Master of Science at Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University. She holds Board Certifications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  Dr. Moody develops and tests interventions to improve the symptom experience of children with cancer.  She has recently obtained funding from the NCI (R01-CA235632) to support her research testing a novel communication intervention for pediatric oncologists and nurses to use with parents of children with cancer.
