Sheila Brown, MPS
Disclosures: Nothing to disclose - 03/23/2021

Sheila has been a certified child life specialist for over 30 years. Previously, Sheila worked with clients diagnosed with eating disorders as well as survivors of sexual abuse and family violence. Sheila has spent the majority of her career working at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital supporting (deleted the pediatric/adolescent/young adult – seemed wordy to me) oncology patients with a specialization in bereavement and end of life care. She is currently an outpatient child life specialist working with non-neural solid tumor patients. Beyond her clinical role in direct patient care at the children’s cancer hospital, Sheila also serves as the lead for legacy project development, facilitator for the supportive care family council and  co-chair of the sibling task force. She has presented locally and nationally on topics of resilience and end of life support for children and families. Sheila continues to find joy in working in direct patient care and supporting patients and families.
